LWOW PopUps

WHAT IT IS:

LWOW PopUps are lively, hands-on events that introduce newcomers to LWOW and reconnect past participants. Held around the world, each PopUp features a fun, interactive exercise on teaming or creative problem solving—offering tools attendees can take back to their own organizations.

WHO HOSTS AND WHY: 

PopUps are a fun, high-impact way to boost your brand as an innovation leader and share success stories with the LWOW community. They're also a chance to “train the trainers.” Hosts choose the trainer, and LWOW provides the framework and support to ensure an engaging, educational evening. PopUps are hosted by law firms, legal tech companies, and in-house teams.

HOW IT WORKS: 

A LWOW PopUp host picks (or partners with LWOW to pick) a seasoned LWOW Thought Leader to run a fun, hands-on session on creative problem solving at the intersection of law, tech, and innovation. Whether it’s a case study, a teaming challenge, or a LEGO-style creativity jam, each PopUp is a chance to build networks and sharpen change-making skills. The night wraps with a celebratory cocktail gathering—because LWOW is about community, too.

PopUps bring together curious newcomers and passionate LWOW alumni ready to reignite the spark and grow the community. Hosts also invite a VIP guest list to help welcome future members and sponsors. Past PopUps have drawn 50–75 attendees for an energizing mix of connection, inspiration, and fun.

Costs:

PopUps will be free to invite-attendees and the costs of space, light appetizers and cocktails will be borne by the PopUp host. Spaces can include the lobby of an entity’s offices, lounge areas, dining halls.

SAMPLE FORMAT:

A PopUp event is usually a couple hours in early evening. We prefer to hold the event either in the fall or late winter prior to a spring Sprint. Format varies depending on host preferences (e.g., LWOW can be involved lesser or more as the host requires). A sample PopUp might look like below:

  • 7:00pm-7:15pm: Check in

  • 7:15pm-7:25pm: Welcome and Introductions

  • 7:25pm-8:10pm: Content

  • 8:10pm-9:00pm: Cocktails

We also love co-creating meaningful swag for guests (especially when it’s part of the experience!).
