Preliminary Hotel + Travel Logistics for the Sprint Weekend: 

  • Student Hackers MUST arrive no later than midday Thursday 16 April, and depart no earlier than Sunday 19 April. Click here for guidance on getting to South Florida. Please note: LWOW does not cover the costs of flights or hotels. Please check with your LWOW school contact regarding the costs/method of reservation.

    • Wednesday/Thursday, 15 or 16 April: Arrive in Miami - details to come for a student organized dinner, early Thursday evening.

    • Friday 17 April: Programming all day at the Newman Alumni Center at University of Miami; includes breakfast, lunch, cocktails, and dinner. Note: working dinner for teams at the event space.

    • Saturday 18 April: Programming begins at University of Miami School of Law ending with presentations to judges at the Newman Alumni Center

    • Saturday night 18 April: Closing Cocktail Celebration/Party (Newman Alumni Center)

    • Stay tuned for a more detailed schedule!

  • Student Hackers must stay at the Novotel Brickell Miami. We have secured a preferential block room rate at the Novotel Brickell Miami for approximately USD $170 per room/per night, for Thursday 16 April - Sunday 19 April. 

    • Each Student Hacker will be assigned a roommate of the same gender from a different school. Accordingly, the total cost of the hotel for all 3 nights per person will be approximately USD $255. If you have specific rooming requirements please let us know by email (lawwithoutwalls@lwow.org) as soon as possible. 

    • The Novotel Brickell Miami is about 30 minutes away from campus by car (about a USD $25-$35 Uber ride) and is situated in Miami’s financial center and adjacent to Downtown Miami. We will provide shuttles on Friday and Saturday morning/evening to take you to and from the Novotel to campus for programming. However, Student Hackers must find their own way to and from the airport to the hotel (click here for guidance). 

    • For room bookings, we have reserved the rooms and so the only action required is to pay for your portion of the room. You MUST bring an internationally accepted credit card with you to Miami in order to check in and pay for your portion of the room.

    • Unless otherwise approved by LWOW in advance, you must stay in your pre-assigned room for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. For any questions regarding hotel bookings, please contact Lulia (lulia@lwow.org).
