HOW TO APPLY: STEP BY STEP

STEP 1: make sure you are eligible to apply!

STEP 3: create your Interview Video (roughly 2 minutes in length/examples of good interview video techniques here).

Create an Interview Video. The Interview Video is a roughly 2 minute video (created via phone, tablet, computer, camera). We use the Interview Video to test curiosity, judgment, perspective, self-awareness, adaptability, and willingness to challenge assumptions.

INTERVIEW VIDEO: PLEASE ANSWER ALL FOUR QUESTIONS.

  1. Introduce yourself—but tell us something we wouldn’t learn from your CV, LinkedIn profile, or application.
What should we know about how you think, work, or see the world?

  2. Now, zoom out. AI is changing how people learn, work, create, and solve problems. What is ONE human skill you think will become MORE important because of AI—not less? Why?

  3. Bring it back to you. Tell us about something you tried to change, fix, or make better. What did you actually do? What didn’t work? What did you learn?

  4. Finally, connect it to LWOW. Do your homework on LWOW. What is ONE aspect of LWOW or the LWOW Sprint experience you think will challenge you most—and why do you want that challenge?

INTERVIEW VIDEO REQUIREMENTS: Please note creativity does not necessarily mean you need to have any specialized video editing skills, but we do have requirements for the Interview Video:

  1. The applicant should narrate and star in the video. We want to see you and hear you so also please make sure your video is clear (e.g., do not record in a closet) and sound is audible.

  2. If you are creating a video using a phone or tablet, please record in LANDSCAPE mode! (IMPORTANT: This means your screen should be held horizontally, e.g, In this direction  — . NOT this way |. )

  3. YES, you can use props and music to tell your story! Interview Videos may be a multi-media, however, it must be one cohesive video file.

  4. Create an URL to your Interview Video (please upload your Interview Video to a video hosting platform like Vimeo or YouTube) and submit the URL in your application form (be sure to test the video to see if it works before submitting your application).

  5. IMPORTANT: Videos should be roughly 2 minutes in length. DO NOT speed up the video in order to keep to time. Keep the video on a natural speed. It is important for you to figure out how to present your story in the best way in no more than the time allotted (e.g., 2 minutes).
