LWOW began in 2011 with 20 students from 6 law schools. In 2015, LWOW involved 100 students from 30 law and business schools. With our growth has come an increase in administration and technology costs.

Our sponsors provide great support to the administration of LWOW; however, each year we struggle to find funds to cover costs that are crucial to the student experience. For example, we fund the participation of students from underprivileged and far away places. We design and manage school application processes and conduct interviews, thereby enabling us to hand select the best students. We tailor-make cross-cultural, diverse, but balanced teams of students and mentors. We provide technology training and technology platforms for our teams to effectively communicate virtually. We organize events and thought leader sessions that include interactive, multidisciplinary activities and content and access to renown experts in the fields of law, business, technology, and entrepreneurship.
