Arriving in Lisbon
Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado International Airport (LIS)** is the primary arrival airport for most LWOW international participants. From the airport, travelers can reach Carcavelos, Portugal—the coastal beach town home to NOVA School of Business & Economics (NOVA SBE), co-host of Sprint 2026—by Ride Apps Uber/Bolt or metro and train.
!IMPORTANT!
As of December 2025, Portugal has temporarily suspended the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES) at Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport, reverting to manual passport stamping for non-Schengen (non-EU) travelers.
This means possibly long waits of up to 2 hours from non-Schengen (non-EU) incoming travelers. Plan accordingly.
