Chad is the Chair of the LawWithoutWalls (LWOW) Advisory Board. He recently retired after an 18‑year career in the legal department at Microsoft, where he held senior leadership roles focused on operational excellence, cross‑functional collaboration, and scaling complex programs worldwide. Known for his ability to bring clarity, structure, and momentum to multidisciplinary teams, Chad now applies his experience to advancing LWOW’s impact and supporting the next generation of legal and business changemakers. Beyond LWOW, he invests in emerging ventures, explores new post‑retirement projects, and remains deeply engaged in technology, wellness, and global travel.

James is Head of Clients and Markets and a member of the Executive Committee for Dentons in the UK, Ireland, and Middle East, as well as Co-Chair of Dentons’ Global Task Force on Ukraine Transformation. He has 25 years of experience as a real estate litigator and is recognized as a Chambers "Eminent Practitioner" and leading Retail and Consumer Lawyer. James now focuses on ensuring Dentons delivers exceptional client service, aligning global teams to anticipate and meet client needs. James has advised some of the world’s largest brands on complex international litigation, multi-jurisdictional logistics, agency and distribution agreements, and expansion into new markets. He is also a pioneering leader in legal innovation, serving as an Advisory Board Member for LawWithoutWalls.
Erika PAGANO | Simmons & Simmons, Head of Legal Innovation and Design | Linkedin
Erika is the Head of Legal Innovation and Design at Simmons & Simmons. She is an award-winning lawyer, innovator, and educator who has dedicated more than a decade to change, creativity, and client centricity in the legal profession. Erika is also a proud LWOW alumna. She is a regular speaker and published author, co-chair of Simmons’ Neurodiversity Network, and serves as Guest Faculty at IE University (Madrid), where she teaches courses on innovation in the legal profession. Erika sits on multiple boards (Georgetown Foundation of Spain, Georgetown Class of 2008 Committee, LawWithoutWalls Advisory Board, University of Miami School of Law Alumni Board, Legal Design Journal Advisory Panel) and is a graduate of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and the University of Miami School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the University of Miami Law Review.
Felix SCHULTE-STRATHAUS | Faculty, Legal Counsel | Linkedin
Felix is Legal Technology Officer at LawWithoutWalls, where he helps design and deliver the LWOW Sprint, enabling collaboration across in-person and virtual teams spanning five continents. A LWOW alum (2016), he has grown with the program—from student participant to a core operational and technology leader supporting LWOW’s global community. Outside of LWOW, Felix is Legal Counsel at Faculty, working on the contractual and regulatory frontlines of artificial intelligence. He trained and qualified at Eversheds Sutherland, advising on AI regulation, cloud and digital operations, open banking, and IT outsourcing. Felix is committed to social mobility and access to justice. He serves as Chair and Trustee of BVL and sits on the LawWithoutWalls Advisory Board, bringing technical rigor, creativity, and energy to advancing global collaboration.
Stacey QUAYE | Head of Legal, AI, Data & Emerging Tech | Linkedin
Stacey is a senior legal leader operating at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation. In February 2026, she steps into the role of Senior Director, Global Head of Product Legal at a leading fintech. Her career has focused on helping global financial institutions navigate fast-moving regulatory landscapes, advising on AI, digital assets, data privacy, and cybersecurity. She is a vocal champion of digital innovation and clear, practical, jargon-free legal advice. Most recently, Stacey was an Executive Director in the Digital, Information and Data team at UBS AG, leading specialist lawyers advising on data privacy and emerging technology. Prior to that, she spent eight years at HSBC, including as Head of Legal Design, where she scaled operations and positioned the bank as a leader in design-driven legal services. She began her career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London and Hong Kong after studying law at Oxford University. Stacey sits on the Advisory Boards of LawWithoutWalls and the Alternative In-House Technology Summit and is deeply committed to mentoring, diversifying the legal profession, and shaping a more inclusive, human future for law. Outside work, she is a proud mum to two energetic (and occasionally mischievous) tiny humans.
Marcia Narine WELDON | University of Miami, Professor of Law | Linkedin
Marcia Narine Weldon is a General Counsel, executive coach, and leadership strategist whose work spans law, governance, emerging technology, and human performance. She brings experience across BigLaw, Fortune 500 leadership, startups, nonprofits, and academia to advising organizations navigating complexity and change. Marcia is Director of the Transactional Skills Program at the University of Miami School of Law, where she teaches practical contract drafting and negotiation through real-world simulations. She also designs and delivers training for law firms and executives on compliance, governance, and leadership. Previously, Marcia served in senior corporate roles including Deputy General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Privacy Officer, and Divisional HR Head at a Fortune 500 company, leading global compliance, ethics, privacy, ESG, and employment law programs. Through her firm, Illuminating Wisdom, she now advises organizations on compliance, governance, leadership development, and responsible AI. Her work has been featured in leading global media, and she has testified before Congress on corporate compliance and ethics.

Peter LEDERER | LawWithoutWalls, Former Chairman Emeritus
Peter was a legendary global lawyer, educator, and co-founder of LawWithoutWalls, whose vision helped shape modern legal education and innovation. A native of Austria who emigrated to the United States in his youth, Peter had a distinguished international legal career spanning decades, including senior partnership at Baker & McKenzie and service as general counsel for major global enterprises. He later brought his experience to academia as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, where he championed new approaches to preparing lawyers for a changing world. As a founding force behind LawWithoutWalls and co-creator of Passport to Practice, Peter was instrumental in advancing interdisciplinary collaboration, practical skills development, and forward-looking thinking among students and practitioners alike. Peter’s enduring commitment to innovation, mentorship, and the global legal community left a profound legacy that continues to inspire the LWOW network and legal educators worldwide.
