Recognized by the ABA as a Legal Rebel and by the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers (North America) as one of top 20 most innovative lawyers, Michele is a professor at the University of Miami School of Law, guest faculty in Harvard Law School Executive Education program, and the founder. Michele is an author, speaker, and consultant on innovation, culture creation, and teaming. Through her company MOVEL∆W, Michele creates bespoke, experiential-learning workshops grounded in design thinking to transform how lawyers collaborate and create culture change. Michele writes about the growing intersections between law, business, and legal innovation. She has recently published two books. Her book, Legal Upheaval: A Guide to Creativity, Collaboration, and Innovation in Law leverages more than 100 interviews with General Counsels at international corporations and Heads of Innovation at law firms. The other book, New Suits: Appetite for Disruption in the Legal World (co-curated with Dr. Guenther Dobrauz) includes chapters by experts in law, innovation, and technology to provide a global perspective on the future of our diverse legal service delivery ecosystem. Lulia is an attorney in private practice with four years of experience in international commercial arbitration, financial disputes, and investigations. Following her participation in LWOW during her time at UM Law, Lulia interned at Eversheds Sutherland's Dubai office and then became an associate in their Alternative Dispute Resolution department following her graduation from UM Law in 2015. For the past several years, Lulia has worked abroad for Eversheds Sutherland in their Dubai office in the United Arab Emirates, including a year-long secondment to the HSBC Bank Middle East Limited. In addition to her more traditional duties as an associate attorney, Lulia implemented a new Corporate Social Responsibility/Pro Bono initiative across the Middle East and acted as lead CSR coordinator for the UAE from 2017-2019.
James Peters directs product development strategies and manages regulatory compliance related to new legal services offerings as the Vice President of New Market Initiatives for LegalZoom. James received a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Amir Singh Dhillon
Brand + Community Officer
Amir runs Axiom’s Social Media and UK Marketing, with an additional focus on Brand and Product Marketing. Amir was selected as the inaugural LWOW Intern in 2014, after his time as a student on the first ever LWOW X program. Since then, he has been integral to LWOW’s social media and event strategy and execution, as well as reshaping and managing the Alumni community, screening applications and interviewing subsequent LWOW interns, alumni advisors and students. Amir graduated with an LLM from UCL in 2014 and LLB from the University of Manchester in 2013. Amir is vehemently passionate about music, the environment and mental health, undertaking a guerrilla social media “Movember” charity campaign; to date, he has raised £18K+. Felix is a 2017 LWOW alum, where his passion to transform law sparked. Currently, he leverages technology and data to produce fresh solutions with legal context as a legal engineer at Wavelength.law. He holds an LL.M. from UCL and LL.B,. from Maastricht University. He’s always been keen to support easier Access2Justice, from building a platform for refugees to voice their stories to promoting social mobility in the legal practice - in June, his team won the Online Courts Hackathon of HM Courts & Tribunals Services. Marketing + Media Officer
Lachlan is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Griffith University and is a LWOW alum (2017). He holds a BA in History and English and is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy. Lachlan’s work background is diverse—while studying law, he has worked in graphic design, web development and SEO (once working in a chocolate factory). Before law school, Lachlan flew in the Royal Australian Air Force for a number of years. Lachlan loves to paint and draw, (which he keeps reassuring himself he will have time for once his law degree is completed). 2019 Chad Fischer Intern
Babi earned her LL.B from Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Sao Paulo (PUC-SP) in 2012, her Master of Laws in Finance and Capital Markets from Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa (Insper) in 2017 in Brazil, and received an LL.M at Stanford Law School in the Corporate Governance Program (2018). While at Stanford, Babi focused in corporate governance, technology, clean energy, and venture capital. She was the president of the Advanced Degree Stanford Association and assisted Abraham Sofaer in his biography. Babi has experience with M&A practice and worked in international law firms, such as Linklaters and Mayer Brown, and will start an internship with Paypal (September 2018). Pam received her JD from the University of Montréal and is a 2018 LWOW alum who hopes to constantly develop her ability to work across cultures and linguistic boundaries. She has studied abroad at the China University of Political Science and Law and the Université de la Polynésie Française. She is currently working for a local women’s rights and social development organization in Quillabamba, Peru. There, she hopes to positively contribute to an international solidarity movement, which believes that different peoples that share the same interests in justice and equity can attain their goals through an open exchange of ideas and expertise. 2019 Community Ambassador
Reading is a high school student at Ransom Everglades in Miami, Florida with a passion for social justice and how social media and photography affect communities and individuals. In addition to being a Community Ambassador for LWOW, she is the founder of a non-profit endeavor, Photogetherness, which brings a sense of community through photography to group resident homes in South Florida. Reading is captain of her soccer team and president of Students Against Distracted Driving.

Connor is a high school student with a passion for innovation, business, music, photography and writing. He is the president of the Pine Crest Innovation Club, founder of the PC Bugle Student Newspaper, and a staff writer for the PC Type One student newspaper. Connor completed a 2018 Congressional internship and an internship at the LAB Miami. In his free time, Connor also writes live music reviews for a blog that he created called The Norris Report. Community Ambassador Elect
Natalia is passionate about people and learning. A former choir member, she is training as a singer and enjoys writing and creating her own music. She has lived in Brighton, Barcelona and Madrid and is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys studying French. Over recent years she has been a summer intern at Redstone Consultants in London and The Iberian Legal Group in Madrid and has trained as a mediator, for three years resolving intra-student disputes at her school. In 2019, Natalia was both an administrative assistant and participant during the Y Women Academy - a pro-bono leadership initiative for young women leaders.

Kate is a senior at Mercer Island High School in Mercer Island, Washington. She enjoys business and is a two-time state qualifier at DECA. She has a passion for travel and exploring new cultures and has visited over 30 countries. In her free time she loves music and singing. Kate is an active member of the Mercer Island varsity cheer team and a mentor for the Sparkle Effect Cheer Squad, made up with students with disabilities.

Joey Kravetz is a current Summer High School Intern at LWOW and aspiring student of law and international relations. He is a rising senior at Miami Palmetto Senior High School, and will graduate Summa Cum Laude in the spring of 2019. Joey is passionate about social sciences, serving as his school’s Vice President of Political Action for the Social Science Honor Society. He is also his school’s current President of National Honor Society and Student Council Parliamentarian.
