Erika studies cross-cultural communication and the impact of creativity and technology in the changing legal landscape. In addition to LWOW, Erika co-teaches Innovation, Technology, and the Law at MiamiLaw with Michele DeStefano. Erika holds a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University and studied at Peking University and East China Normal University. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami, where she was Managing Editor of Miami Law Review, James Weldon Johnson/Robert H. Waters Scholar, and LWOW alumna (2012). Zach is a 3L year at Miami Law and a LWOW alum (2017). He is a graduate of the Stern School of Business, New York University. He continues to explore all things business: Zach is active with the Miami Law Investor Rights Clinic, Startup Practicum, and Bankruptcy Assistance Clinic. In his free time Zach enjoys outdoor recreation, particularly cycling and camping. Lachlan is currently completing his law honors thesis at Griffith University and a LWOW alum (2017). He holds a BA in History and English and is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy.
Lachlan’s work background is diverse—while studying law, he has worked in graphic design, web development and SEO (once working in a chocolate factory). Before law school, Lachlan flew in the Royal Australian Air Force for a number of years.
