19–20 January 2019: IE University’s Segovia campus (Aula Magna room)

  • Time: You must arrive at IE University by 9:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. These two days are intensive, both in content and schedule. Click here for a tentative schedule.

  • Dress code: We have a “no suit, first name” policy; please plan on dressing smart casual for the KickOff. Jeans are acceptable.

  • Meals: Lunch, beverages, coffee, and snacks will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. (Note: breakfast will not be provided on site—breakfast is included at both Hotel Eurostars Convento Capuchinos and Hotel Eurostars Plaza Acueducto.)

  • Cocktails + Dinners: Saturday concludes at 19:30 with cocktails and light bites on campus sponsored by Eversheds Sutherland Nicea. Sunday concludes with a champagne toast at 18:30 followed by drinks and dancing off-site, sponsored by Pulse Legal, a LegalZoom company at 22:00.

  • Technology: Kindly note that we do not allow use of phones, laptops, or computers except during breaks and designated tech times.

What to Expect

The KickOff is the starting point of your LWOW experience: two days of intensive idea generation, team building, collaboration training, and creative problem solving. It’s also where you’ll learn about your role, meet your team, discover your topic challenge, and set the foundation for your four-month innovation journey. (Kindly note we do not provide teammate information in advance of KickOff, so the suspense is shared by all.)

Getting Around

Getting to Segovia:

Segovia is reachable by a flight to Madrid’s Barajas Airport, followed by a short train ride from Madrid’s Chamartín Station to Segovia.
